Research Interests

Fundamental and applied research of thermal transport phenomena over a wide range of characteristic dimensions from meters (electronics systems) to nanometers (nano fluids). Current research initiatives include:

microscale refrigeration
the role of surface roughness in microtubes
experimental and analytical modeling of nano fluids
characterization and modeling of thermal interface materials
development of thermally enhanced greases
thermal contact resistance in polymeric interfaces
entropy generation minimization in electronic systems
thermal characterization of metal foams
